Correlation for categorical data

Hi all..
What statistical test should i use to see if there is a significant correlation between two sets of categorical data?
namely, culture (asian, america, australian...) and coping style (Active vs avoidant).

The Chi Squared statistic is a measure of correlation/association for categorical variables.
