Hi
suppose the government passed a law requiring people to have health insurance in one state.
we can get data for cancer mortality rates and cardiovascular disease mortality rates. We want to show that the new law requiring health insurance significantly changed the uninsured percentage...but it did not significantly decrease the mortality rate.
Furthermore, we also want to show that the uninsured percentage in the other states are not different from each other. So we want to show that the uninsured percentage in that one state went down, but the mortality rates are the same.
we want to study this over the time period between 2005 to 2009.
If you were the project designer, how would you design this study? what information would you collect, and what would you do with this information?
