Probability

Imagine you are a teacher in the sewing class at your local high school, and you are given funds to purchase supplies. You are in need of scissors and decide to make the purchasing of the scissors top priority. You now need to decide how many left-hand scissors is needed for a class of 30 students, if only 10% of the U.S. population is left-handed?

This is a binomial probability, and we need to calculate the expected value. so expectation = n*p = 30*0.10
